We are pleased to announce that the 16 th World Congress of Jewish Studies will take place at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem from July 28th through August 1st 2013.

We hope that most scholars from the various fields of Jewish studies will take part in it. We invite you to submit proposals for papers, sessions and special events for the upcoming congress. We especially encourage proposals for the organization of complete sessions.

The Congress consists of six divisions:
A. The Bible and Its World
B. History of the Jewish People
C. Rabbinic Literature and Jewish Law and Jewish Thought
D. Languages, Literatures, and the Arts
E. Contemporary Jewish Society
F. Research projects and technology

The Academic Committees of these divisions are responsible for approving proposals, as well as for the structure of the sessions. continue (PDF)

ASSEI-The Israeli Association for Researching the History of Italian Jews

La ASSEI intende partecipare al Congresso Mondiale di Scienze Ebraiche, che si terra` l’anno prossimo a Gerusalemme, dove presenteremo due sessioni, una sul tema “Fantasia e immaginario nella cultura ebraica italiana’, e un’altra sul tema ‘Istituzioni politiche e organizzazione comunitaria degli ebrei in Italia”.
